I GIVE UP

I don't know how all of you bloggers do it... I had very good intentions on be a part of this blogging world to keep everyone updated on our family and well...as you can see my last post was made in October and although I had a legitimate excuse (at that time) for not posting in a while, this time I DO NOT. And now, not only do some of you (LOLLY) post religiously several times a week, you now have a facebook account to keep updated.

P.S. I too have a facebook account that was created almost a year ago and I still have no profile picture. Oh. and I can't leave out my long lost myspace page.

So to all of you faithful bloggers, I give up. At the rate I'm going expect my next blog to be posted next month. Until then, here is a little update...

This was our trip to the snow with Jenny,Jeremy and John. It doesn't look like we were all there but we were. The group pictures are on Nick's camera. I'm hoping I can get them posted later but I'm not making any promises.

Here is an updated picture of the kids. Some of you may have recieved this as a Christmas card.

BLOG OVERLOAD

I know, I SUCK at keeping this page updated but here's the deal... something happend to my computer and it WOULD NOT load my pictures. The worst part is I lost Bailey's 10th b-day party and her first day of 5th grade. But just by chance I tried to load my pictures today and it worked. Therefore, I've got a lot to update everyone on...I'll begin where I left off way back on the 4th of July.

In August, we finished our summer with our annual vacation to Newport Beach with Nick's family. This year, we packed the little 900 sq. ft beach house with 14 people. It was me, Nick, our 3 kids + Bailey's friend, Jenny, Jeremy, Jim, Cyndee, Amy, Christy and Ralph and Shirley. Jenny was pregnant with John this year, but next year I can't wait to see him join in on the fun with the rest of us!

Bailey is already counting down the days until the next trip. Although this time she is trying to schedule in more shopping!!!

Also this summer,

Bailey finished her 3rd year on the siemon swim team.

Nathan tried shaving with a toothbrush

and...

Nathan tried to show Katie how to climb out of the window which is now LOCKED AT ALL TIMES. Never allow a 2 year old to watch Dennis the Menis...although I wish I could have captured Nathan on video stacking the toys under the window and explaining to Katie what to do.

As for the new school year,
We are off to a good start, a little challenging in some areas but, Bailey has a wonderful 5th grade teacher who is very incouraging. She continues to play the cello and has made the 5th/6th grade oral language team (something I would have NEVER done). Nathan started preschool and loves it. Katie continues to be a hand full and I have given up on the idea that she will EVER be calm and content with ANYTHING.

Finally I am so HAPPY to say, I'M AN AUNT and NICK'S AN UNCLE. Jenny gave birth to John Thomas Schieldle on October 3, 2008. He was 7lbs. 11oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Congrats you TWO we are super excited that someone besides us has a child to turn grandpa iPhone and grandma Cyndee's house upside down. We love you!

4th of July Weekend of FUN

Our 4th of July weekend was spent at both the BEACH and PASO ROBLES. At the beach, we stayed at Great Grandma Bonnie and Lee’s beach house. It was a great day for building sandcastles, BBQing, watching FIREWORKS, and taking Lee’s money (thank you Lee for passing the BUCK)! The following day we drove to Paso Robles to stay with our friend Tracy Jason. The kids spent the day swimming, riding horses, climbing on everything they could…fences, tractors, trailers, boats etc. (Nate loves showing off his battle wounds) and then PASSING OUT! I spent the day showing Nick how great country life REALLY IS (I think this process is going to take a bit longer than I hoped...but I'm not giving up) Needless to say it was a very eventful weekend and we ALL had a BLAST. Thanks to all our family and friends for sharing in our WEEKEND OF FUN!

Bass Lake and Yosemite Vacation

Every year we plan a family winter vacation to Bass Lake and Yosemite. We play in the snow, ski, sled and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Well, this year we decided to warm it up and turn our winter vacation into a summer vacation. So, this year instead of grabbing our scarfs and jackets, it was our bathing suites and towels.

MY NEW FOUND LOVE

VONS...ingredients for life

Those words are music to my ears...

I had to tell everyone about my new found LOVE…VONS.COM! It is everything and MORE!!! My trips to the grocery store with 3 kids, is equivalent to running a marathon completely OUT OF SHAPE. Not to mention the closest store to us is 10 miles away and do I even need to say that gas prices SUCK!

Well, last night I went to VONS.COM and did ALL of my grocery shopping, aisle by aisle, in my bedroom. Today my SAVIOR (Juan from Vons) delivered ALL of my groceries to my house and set them on my table then waved goodbye. The funny thing is I ordered a case of BUD LIGHT online and I don’t even drink. I just wanted to see if I would get carded…well all you minors out there…I did!

Needless to say, I will never be out of shape running a marathon again, just plain out of shape!

Introducing our Family

My first attempt at blogging is going to be short being that I am approaching the end of nap time. However, I am going to try to kick myself into gear to get our family of 5 a part of this blogging world in order to update our friends and family who live so far away.

Note: We have three very cute kids, so this should be a worthy endeavor.

So, as for now this is our not so little HAPPY family. If it was up to Nick I think there would be more to come...as for me, all I care about is Bailey NOT entering her teenage years, Nathan pooping and peeing IN the POTTY not NEXT to it, and Katie sleeping through the night!!!
